It is time for the 6th Annual Dick Dennis Memorial Concert

Program notes . . . Thanks to the generosity of hundreds since Mr. Dennis passed away, the Dennis Endowment Fund, administered by the Washington Township Schools Foundation, is now supporting 5 scholarship winners by providing private lessons and technical support to these students during the 2011-2012 school year. Donations are most welcome, and will provide for the continuing growth of this program which Mr. Dennis so enthusastically embraced just weeks before his death.

Former students and friends of the Dennis’, still actively playing are encouraged to join the NC Symphony for the grand finale, Henry Mancini’s “Charade”. Music may be picked up at the front desk between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM during the week, with rehearsal scheduled for 6:30 PM Thursday in the NC band room, with guest conductor, NC’s State Champ band director, Rick Granlund. (Sight-reading is OK, too!!)

Tickets are $3 at the door, to help support the orchestras.

Alums and friends joining in the Grand Finale will be admitted FREE!

The Alumni Association would like to thank the Class of 1976 for hosting a fundraiser during their 35th class reunion in September. This year, they raised almost $2000 and donated it to the NCHS Alumni Association’s Merit Scholarship Endowment. This fund is a collaborative effort between the Alumni Association and the Washington Township Schools Foundation with a goal of enhancing education opportunities for the students and graduates of NCHS. With the Class of 1976′s generous donation, they are helping to ensure the future of our prestigious college scholarship program.

Are you one of the people who kept video memories of the Brain Game Team that aired on TV back in the 60′s, 70′s 80′s, 90′s or 00′s? We need some tapes of the older Brain Game Teams to convert to Digital Format to make an archive of the past efforts of NC! Please contact Mr. LeRoy Castle at North Central HS about your treasure then we can work on getting some materials together for the 50th anniversary of the Brain Game show.
